tackel tuornament
Regionals for Tackle Team
On wednesday 26 of october the Saint Pauls tackle team went to
Henley school to play tackle rugby and it was really wet and cold.
The teams that were also there were richmond,Brightwater, stoke,Taperwara, victory,Mot south,Takaka,Hampdon street and Saint Pauls. In our pool was Victory,Richmond,Taperwara,Stoke and Saint Pauls.
First we played Richmond and we lost 2-1.We then played Victory school and they won 4-1. Next we played Tapawara and we won 4-2 and it was our best game. Then the last pool match we played was against Stoke they bet us 5-2. Now we were into the bottom 4 semi-finals and we played Brightwater and we just lost 2-1. It was a close game and a tough one. We then had a break and it was time for our last game of the day because we couldn’t get into the final and it was against Richmond. This game was pretty much a fun game but we lost 5-3. Thanks Richard ingils your awsome.By Tyler(gay person and Got a hairy mole on his face) and Griffin

Squash on Thursdays
Every Thursday some of the year 5/6 students go down to the squash courts behind the club Waimea. Our instructor/coach is Mike, he helps us get better at squash and then on the next couple of courts Mr Searle our teacher sets up some games to play. He also to helps us with skills and organises us as if we were in a tournament. To get to squash we have some of the parents to drive us there. At squash there are rackets provided and safety goggles and when your playing a game there are sometimes the big balls or little balls. We have a couple more sessions and were all enjoying them; the're really great fun.
In the photo Jamie is helping by serving an easy shot for Riley to practice his returns.

Touch Rugby with Garin College
At our school this term the year 5-6 have had a great time with the Garin students because Garin comes over to our school and teaches us touch rugby skills so we can improve. We have been put into teams and everyone is in a team. They have been teaching us skills like passing in a line, running up in a line, little games, getting back to five quickly when you have made your touch, when you have finshed you go for a cool down, run and pass before you get touched and lots more. We have had a great time so far.
